The Well-being of Staff in a Welsh Secondary School before and After a COVID-19 Lockdown

Background: There has been extensive research on the well-being of teachers, with much it focusing stress and mental health problems. Recent led to development process model, which examines predictors positive negative outcomes. Research is now required examine this model's applicability teachers those who communicate in languages other than English. Well-being also reduced by social isolation associated COVID-19, essential investigate causes well-being.
 Aims: The present study had three main aims. First, model teachers. Secondly, a sample where teaching was Welsh language. Finally, response COVID-19 lockdown group identify current long term Methodology: approved ethics committee, School Psychology, Cardiff University, carried out informed consent volunteers (67 staff from Welsh-medium secondary school; mean age 36.8 years, range 19-53 years; 71% female). An online survey out, regressions conducted associations between predictor variables Predictors were examined.
 Results: Thirty-six per cent reported high levels, but clinically significant anxiety depression levels low (7.2% anxiety; 4.4% depression).
